Settings → Subscription shows the plan your company is on and how it is paid for. Only the company owner can change it.
The three ways to be on a paid plan
- Paid subscription — you chose a plan and pay monthly or yearly by card. The card shows the next renewal date; cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Trial — a paid plan for a fixed number of days with no card on file. A banner at the top of every page counts the days down, and we email the owner three days before the end.
- Complimentary — a paid plan free of charge until a set date, granted by the DoneWell team (early customers, partners). The banner says Your … plan is complimentary until …, the card prints the same date, and we email the owner seven days before it ends. A complimentary period always has an end date; if you need it extended, ask the DoneWell team.
Subscribing during a trial or a complimentary period switches you to a paid subscription right away — the trial or complimentary date no longer applies.
When a trial or complimentary period ends
Nothing is deleted. You get a grace period of a few days with a Payment required banner and a daily reminder; pick a plan on this page to keep everything you have. When the grace period runs out, the company moves to the Free plan: your clients, jobs and invoices stay, paid features pause and the Free plan's monthly limits apply. Subscribing later brings everything back.
Prices for your team size
Some plans are priced by team size rather than per user. On those plans each card shows the price for your team as it is today — everyone active plus invitations that have not expired — and names the size it falls in, such as Priced for your team of 4 (2–5 people). The yearly price shows how much it saves over paying monthly. The price changes when your team moves into another size; see Team for what an invitation does to it.
Changing plans
Pick a plan on this page. Switching plans applies immediately — an upgrade charges the prorated difference right away, a downgrade credits your next invoice. Moving to the Free plan while a subscription is running means cancelling it first: you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, then land on Free. Your payment history and receipts are on the same page.
